I descend into the deep,
Way down low into the cold.
Gaining lower and lower depths.
Once I stood up tall
But now I fall.
I see the light far above me,
The one that once shone inside me.
I continue my drop,
The currents taken hold
So still I fall.
Endless whispers surround,
Forming circles around.
I am ageing differently inside
Their circle of sound.
I am small, I am nothing here.
A microscopic speck in a massive hole.
I descend deeper and deeper still,
Nothing worthwhile down here
